Procedure details
At a glance
Post-bariatric surgery addresses excess skin and contour changes after major, stable weight loss. The plan is usually staged and considers nutrition, scars, priorities and the recovery required.
What we discuss in consultation
- the difference between excess fat and loose skin
- stable weight, general health and clotting risk
- scar position, compression and contouring limits
Your treatment plan
Areas are assessed together for coherent proportions. Tests, anaesthesia, safe procedure extent and any staging are defined before scheduling.
Recovery and outcome
Swelling, bruising and tightness are common initially. Compression, mobilisation and return to exercise follow an individual protocol while contour refines gradually.
